Hefazat secy gen Kasemi passes away
DHAKA, Dec 13, 2020 (BSS)- Allama Nur Hosain Kasemi, Secretary General of
Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh, passed away
today at the age of 75.
Kasemi, also founding Muhatamim of Zamia Madania Baridhara, breathed
his last at city’s United Hospital around 1:00pm today after suffering from
cold and respiratory problems for some days, said a press release.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of well-
wishers to mourn his death.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held at the National Eidgah at 9am tomorrow maintaining health guidelines. Later, he will be buried at his hometown in Tongi, said Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh publicity Maulana Joynul Abedin.
On November 15, he was made secretary general of the new committee of Hefazat-e-Islam.
