Vandalizing of Bangabandhu sculpture protested in Panchagarh
PANCHAGARH, Dec 13, 2020 (BSS) – Government officials have demanded an exemplary punishment of Bangabandhu’s sculpture vandals at a discussion held here as part of countrywide protest rally against damaging the Father of the Nation’s unfinished sculpture in Kushtia.
The meeting was organised in the Panchagarh government auditorium hall room yesterday with the slogan of “Jatir Pitar Samman, Rakhbo Mora Amlan” arranged by the district commissioner office.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sabina Yeasmin presided over the function.
Additional secretary of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry Sahidul Alam, district and sessions judge Sarif Hossein Haidar, police super Yousuf Ali, civil surgeon Dr Fajlur Rahman, chief executive of Zila Parishad Abdul Alim Khan Ohareshi and Sadar upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Arif Hossein addressed the function.
The speakers promised to uphold the dignity of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as they will not allow anyone to defame the architect of independent Bangladesh.
