Vandalising of Bangabandhu’s sculpture protested in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Dec 12, 2020 (BSS) – Government officials working in different offices of the district in a function here today demanded exemplary punishment against the culprits who vandalizing the sculpture of Bangabandhu.

They made the comments at a function of in the conference room of the deputy commissioner (DC) here with the commitment of “Jatir Pitar Samman, Rakhibo Mora Amlan”.

DC Office Gaibandha organized the program in protest against vandalizing the Bangbandhu’s sculptor in Kushtia recently by the miscreants.

DC Abdul Matin presided over the protest function. District and sessions judge Dilip Kumar Voumik, divisional special judge Md Mohsinul Haque, chief judicial magistrate Prodip Kumar Roy, police super Towhidul Islam, civil surgeon Dr. AM Akhteruzzaman, executive engineer of roads and highways department Md. Asaduzzaman and Sadar UNO Md. Rafiul Alam addressed the function, among others.

The speakers in their speeches said the sculptor of Father of the Nation is the art to the future generation of the country as they would be able to know the Father of the Nation properly.

They also condemned the vandalizing of Bangabandhu’s sculptor and demanded stern action against the perpetrators who acted against the country’s Constitution and the spirit of the Liberation War.
