RAJSHAHI, Dec 12, 2020 (BSS) – Five cultural personalities were awarded and accorded a reception in recognition to their outstanding contributions to the cultural field.
The award winning persons are: Asaduzzaman Sarker (film), Selim Reja (music), Animesh Mukutmoni (Musical Instrument), Rejaul Islam (song) and Gourab Parial (Musical Instrument).
As part of observance of the Victory Month, Rajshahi divisional branch of Bangladesh Sangeet Sangathan Samunnoy Parishad gave the award formally at a function held at Fun Valley auditorium here on Friday evening.
Rajshahi Regional Director of Bangladesh Betar Hassan Akhter addressed the ceremony as the chief guest with President of the Parishad Madhusudan Mukharjee in the chair.
Children Affairs Officer of Shishu Academy Monjur Kader, Cultural Officer of Shilpakala Academy Muhammad Asaduzzaman Sarker and Editor of Daily Sonar Desh Akbarul Hassan Millat spoke as special guests.
Hassan Akhter said the contribution of the cultural personalities is very significant to nation-building activities.
He told the audience that the present government has been working relentlessly to this end.
The award-giving ceremony was followed by a cultural function performed by famous artistes.
