JAYPURHAT, Dec 10, 2020 (BSS) – Information Minister Dr Hasan
Mahmud today said BNP is now vocal on sculpture issue as they failed
to face the government politically.

“There are many sculptures in Saudi Arabia, Iran and other Muslim
states. The next generation of those who are against the freedom
fighters and gave fotwa to them as ‘kafer’, are now giving statements
against sculptures,” he said.

The minister made the comments while addressing the triennial
conference of Jaypurhat district unit of Awami League.

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges
Minister Obaidul Quader joined the conference through online as the
chief guest.

AL Presidium Member Abdur Rahman inaugurated the conference with AL
district unit president Advocate Samsul Alam Dudu, MP, in the chair.

Zia told that Awami League could not construct the Padma Bridge. The

connection between the two sides has been established, he added.

development under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. But,
BNP could not recognize it and now they are plotting new conspiracies,
he said.
