DHAKA, Dec 10, 2020 (BSS) – Ten researchers of different
universities and colleges got Post-Doctoral Fellowship-2020-21 of the
University Grant Commission (UGC).
UGC Post-Doctoral Fellowship Selection Committee announced the names
of the researchers at a meeting held recently with UGC Chairman
Professor Dr. Kazi Shahidullah in the chair, said a press release.
The awardees are History department professor of Dhaka University
(DU) Dr. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Fisheries department professor of DU Dr
Md. Golam Rabbane, Arabic department professor of Chittagong
University Dr Mohammad Nurul Islam, Physics department professor of
Jahangirnagar University Dr Sharmin Sultana, Jagannath University
(JnU) Bangla department professor Dr Milton Biswas, Mathematics
department professor of JnU Dr Md Sarwar Alam,
Sociology Discipline professor of Khulna University Dr Abdullah Abu
Sayed Khan, Horticulture department professor of Sher-e-Bangla
Agricultural University Dr Jasim Uddain, professor of Computer Science
and Engineering of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology Dr
Muhammad Sheikh Sadi and professor of Genetics and Plant Breeding of
Government Shahid Akbar Ali Science and Technology College Dr Paritosh
Chandra Roy.
39 researchers from different public, private universities (only
those have permanent campus) and government colleges submitted their
applications for UGC Post-Doctoral Fellowship 2020-2021.
UGC selected only 10 researchers considering the applicants’
educational qualifications, experience, publications, research titles,
summaries and supervisor’s recommendations as per the guideline, read
the release.
