DHAKA, Dec 10, 2020 (BSS)—Gazi Group Chattogram captain Mohammad Mithun won the toss and decided to send Fortune Barishal for batting first in a crucial game of Bangabandhu T20 Cup at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
The match is particularly important for Tamim Iqbal’s Barishal, who needs to win this game to keep them alive for playoffs.
Coming off an excellent victory over Minister Group Rajshahi in a match in which they overhauled 220-7 with utmost ease to secure an eight-wicket win, Barishal forced to bring up just one change with Salahuddin Shakil replacing injured Abu Jayed Rahi.
Chattogram who sits at the top of the table and had already confirmed the playoffs took this match to test their bench strength.
They brought up four changes to the side from the previous match. Liton Das, Rakibul Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam were rested to make the way for Shykat Ali, Ruyel Mea, Sanjit Saha and Mahedi Hasan.
