DHAKA, Dec 10, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) has included 14 more services with its’ online One
Stop Service (OSS) centre to ensure ease and swift services for the investors in the country.
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin today formally inaugurated the services through a virtual function, said a
press release.
The services are ‘Environmental Clearance (Red)’, ‘Environmental Clearance (Orange-A)’, ‘Environmental Clearance (Orange-B)’,‘Environmental Clearance (Green)’, ‘Environmental Clearance Renewal (Red)’, ‘Environmental Clearance Renewal (Orange) –A’, ‘Environmental Clearance Renewal (Orange-B)’, ‘Environmental Clearance Renewal (Green)’, ‘On-site clearance’, ‘EIA Approval’, ‘TOR Approval’, ‘Zero Discharged Approval’, ‘Foreign Companies (Branch /Liaison/Representative Office Registration)’, and ‘1st Ad-hoc Industry IRC recommendation of the BIDA.
Now, BIDA is providing a total of 35 services through the online one-stop service portal.
In his speech, Md Shahab Uddin said realizing the importance of environment, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has protected the environment and nature since the Independence.
To this end, he said, Bangabandhu issued the ‘Water Pollution Control Ordinance in 1973’.
In that continuity, the service preservation rules were formulated in 1997 with emphasis on the environment, he added.
He hoped that the quality of investment services would be enhanced as 14 new services have been officially added to the BIDA’s Online One
Stop Service Portal from today.
BIDA Executive Director Md Billal Hossain delivered the welcome speech on the occasion while senior officials of BIDA, among others, spoke on
the occasion.
