Palak inaugurates `Amar Mujib’ campaign to aware new generation about Bangabandhu

DHAKA, Dec 9, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak today inaugurated a special campaign titled: `Amar Mujib’ in the online platform `Durbar’ to aware the new generation about the life, works, philosophy and ideology of Bangabandhu.

“To me Mujib means protest against injustice… whenever saw injustice Bangabandhu raised voice against that” he said while inaugurating the campaign connecting online to Digital World 2020 held at Film Archive auditorium in the city, said a press release.

He said he found a humanitarian Bangabandhu after going through the books written by Bangabandhu. “I always follow the ideology of Bangabandhu in my political career,” Palak added.

The organizers informed that the ‘Amar Mujib’ campaign has been divided into four parts taking into consideration people from ages.

The first part contains 5-week online quiz competition on 100 questions on Bangabandhu marking his birth centenary and any Bangladeshi citizens can take part in the competition, they said adding the second part contains letter writing to Mujib for the students of class one to class five, third part contains drawing picture of Mujib for the students of class six to class ten and the third part contains essay competition on life and works of Bangbandhu for all in the title `Amar Mujib.’

The function was addressed among others by LICT Project Director Md Rezaul Karim, President of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) Syed Almas Kabir, E-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) President Shomi Kaiser, Bangladesh Association of Call Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) Secretary General Tawhid Hossain, Bangladesh Freelancers Development Society (BFDS) Secretary General Mahfuz Rahman.

The function was conducted by Digital Communication Specialist of LICT Project Hasan Benaul Islam.

The overall activities of ‘Amar Mujib’ campaign will be conducted through the online platform `Durbar’, an initiative of LICT project of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) under ICT Division. As many as 7,000 youths who registered online were present at the inaugural function.

The organisers also announced the awards for the winners from among the participants in quiz competition and other events under Amar Mujib campaign. LICT Policy Adviser Sami Ahmed presented guests attending the function.

Earlier, the ICT State Minister inaugurated ICT Career Camp to be held online across the country.

Earlier, the LICT Project organized 85 ICT Career Camps throughout the country.
