Photo show against child-molestation held
DHAKA, Dec 9, 12, 2020 (BSS) – Muktijoddha Mancha today organized a-day-long photo exhibition protesting countrywide child molestations in madrasas by teachers.
Leaders and activists of the platform organized the day long photo exhibition around 12:00 pm today at the base of Anti-terrorist Raju memorial sculpture on Dhaka University (DU) campus.
Terming Mamunul Haque as a silent supporter of child molestation President of the organization Aminul Islam Bulbul said nearly 35 madrasa students across the country have been raped of whom two children died and another committed suicide.
“It is very unfortunate that we have not yet seen any comment or protest of the country’s Islamic scholars on rape of the children ,” he added.
The other demands of the Mancha include exemplary punishment of Faizul and Mamunul, ban on religion- based politics to keep existing communal harmony, setting up an anti-sexual harassment cell to monitor sexual assaults on students, ensuring punishment to those who spread communal propaganda and ensuring capital punishment to the child molesters.
