FC United, Warriors SA in final of BFSF U-14 Academy Cup
DHAKA, Dec 9, 2020 (BSS) – FC United of Feni and Warriors Sports Academy of Satkhira stormed into the final of 2nd Bashundhara Kings BFSF U-14 Academy Cup football after eliminating their respective rivals in the semifinals held today at Palton ground adjoining the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
The final of the competition will be held on Friday (December11) at the same venue at 3 pm.
On the way to the final today, FC United Feni blanked Shamnagar Football Academy of Feni by 3-0 goals after leading the first half by 2-0 goals in the first semifinal.
In the day’s match Omar Farque Zahid scored a hat-trick with all the three goals for the winners’ and he was later adjudged the player of the match for his impressive performance in the match.
In the day’s second semifinal, Warriors Sports Academy beat Iswarganj Football Academy of Mymensingh also by the same identical margin of 3-0 goals after dominating the first half by 2-0 goals.
Harun Or Rashid, who scored two goals for Warriors in the match, was named the player of the match for his brilliant performance.
A total of twelve academy teams are taking part in the nine-day-meet, organised by Bangladesh Football Supporters Forum (BFSF) and sponsored by Bashundhara Kings.
The champions will receive Taka one lac while the runners-up of the competition will get Taka fifty thousand as prize money.
Besides, best player, highest scorer, best player in position will also be awarded.
