CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 9, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged smugglers with 1, 32,000 pieces of Indian bidis made by leaves from Shibganj in the district this morning.
The arrestees were identified as Benzir Ahmed, 50 of Hangami village under Monakasha union and Md. Mojibur Rahman, 58 of Pialimari village under Shibganj upazila.
RAB said, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp, on secret information, raided Guptamanik village under Dhainagar union of Shibganj upazila at 8 am and arrested the duo with the bidis.
Later, the arrested persons were handed over to the local police with filling a case.
