FARIDPUR, Dec 9, 2020 (BSS) – Measles-Rubella vaccine to be administered among 4,84,434 children aged from 6 months to 10 years during a vaccination campaign starting on December12 in the district, sources said.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Siddiqur Rahaman told BSS that the campaign will run till January 24 next to fulfilling the target of feeding Measles-Rubella vaccines to all children.
The campaign would be conducted in all localities, slum areas, brothels, hospitals, every upazila health complex and hard-to-reach and risky areas, he said.
Doctors, nurses and necessary medical kits have been get ready to make the campaign successful, he added.
Cooperation of Imams, public representatives and journalists was sought in this regard.
The program is going to be arranged by Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
World Health Organization (WHO), Gavi (The vaccination Alliance) and UNICEF are the sponsors of the campaign.
