DHAKA, Dec 08, 2020 (BSS) – Minister for Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Mustafa Jabbar today said every institution of the Department of Telecommunications, including Postal, Teletalk and Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Ltd (BTCL), which are involved in providing services to the people, will be brought under digitalisation as soon as possible.
“It is not possible to take the digital revolution forward if the service users cannot take the service by pressing the button. Every institution of the Department of Telecommunications, including Postal, Teletalk and BTCL, which are involved in providing services to the people, will be brought under digitalization as soon as possible,” he said.
The minister was virtually speaking at the concluding ceremony of a five-day training workshop on innovation and service facilitation for officials of various organisations under the Department of Posts and Telecommunications held at Cox’s Bazar as the chief guest.
He also directed the people concerned to be more active in bringing the benefits of the establishment of Digital Bangladesh to the doorsteps of the people.
Secretary of Posts and Telecommunications Md Afzal Hossain and Additional Secretary Selima Sultana spoke on the occasion.
The workshop was conducted by Muhammad Abdul Hannan, Joint-Secretary, Department of Posts and Telecommunications while workshop’s resource person Access to Information (a2i) Officer Iftekhar Alam explained the main concept of the workshop.
