Ferry services resume on Shimulia-Banglabazar route
MUNSHIGANJ, Dec 08, 2020 (BSS) – Ferry services on Shimulia-Banglabazar route resumed this morning after 10 hours of suspension.
The services resumed at around 10 am, said Assistant General Manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Shafiqul Islam.
The two ferries remained stuck in the river due to dense fog on Monday night. Hundreds of vehicles, mostly goods-laden remained stranded in both sides of the river which caused huge miseries to the commuters .
Ferry services were halted on Shimulia- Banglabazar route for the last three days.
