Mozammel mourns death of Akram Ahmed

DHAKA, Dec 8, 2020 (BSS) – Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Kilo Flight Pilot during the Great Liberation War and valiant Freedom Fighter Captain Akram Ahmed Bir Uttam.

In a condolence message, the minister recalled with deep respect and gratitude the unique contribution of the fearless freedom fighter Captain Akram Ahmed to the great liberation war of Bangladesh.

“His (Akram) name will be inscribed in golden letters in the history of emergence of Bangladesh,” a release quoted the minister as saying.

Haque prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Captain Akram breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka on Monday morning at the age of 74.

He was hospitalized in early November with Covid-19 and was also suffering from pneumonia.
