HABIGANJ, Dec 06, 2020 (BSS) – The rail communications to and from Sylhet remained suspended when four oil carriages of freight train derailed and caught fire near Shajibazar Rail Station in Madhobpur Upazila in the district this noon.
The accident occurred at around 12.05 pm when the train reached near Shahjibazar from Chattogram suddenly four oil laden bogies went off the tracks and caught fire , Station Master Mofazzol Hossain confirmed.
Fire fighting units from Shaistaganj arrived Shahjibazar and the rescue train will reach there soon, said railway authority.
However, no casualty was reported .
