Magura district post big win as Arpita slams hat-trick
DHAKA, Dec 2, 2020 (BSS) – Arpita continued her prolific form to
score brilliant hat-trick as Magura district dumped Narayanganj
district by 9-0 goals in a final round match of the JFA U-14 National
Women’s Football Championship held today at Muktijoddha Smrity Stadium
in Rajshahi.
In the day’s match, Arpita scored hat-trick with three goals in the
3rd, 38th and 51st minutes and Somiya Akter scored a brace in the 7th
and 34th minutes while Kona Kormokar, Bristy Akter, Munni and Nobiron
netted one goal each for Magura in the 14th, 19th, 28th and 60th
minutes respectively.
In the day’s second match, Shongkranti Bala scored a brilliant
hat-trick with five goals saw host Rajshahi District registered an
overwhelming 6-1 goals victory over Satkhira District also held at the
same venue.
In the day’s proceeding, Shongkranti Bala scored all the five goals
for the winning side in the 25th, 26th, 42nd, 52nd and 55th minutes
respectively while Falguni Falku supported her with a loan goal in the
54th minute for Rajshahi. Sumaiya scored the consolation goal for the
lossers in the 47th minute of the match.
With the day’s win, Magura emerged group B champions with nine
points while Rajshahi finished behind Magura with four points.
