Russia adds 25,345 COVID-19 cases
MOSCOW, Dec 2, 2020 (BSS/XINHUA) – Russia recorded 25,345 more COVID-19 infections over the past 24 hours, bringing the national tally to 2,347,401, the country’s COVID-19 response center said Wednesday.
A record 589 new fatalities were reported over the past day, raising the country’s death toll to 41,053.
Meanwhile, 26,882 patients recovered from the disease, with the total count standing at 1,830,349.
Moscow, the country’s worst-hit region, reported 5,191 new cases over the past day, taking the city’s total to 617,439.
Russia currently ranks fourth globally in terms of the total number of infections.
Over 77.2 million COVID-19 tests have been conducted across the country.
