Wife of former AL leader Mariyam Begum passes away
DHAKA, Dec 1, 2020 (BSS) – Mariyam Begum, wife of former labour affairs secretary of Awami Leage (AL) late Rahmatullah Chowdhury and mother of international affairs secretary of Mohila Sramik League Ruba Ahsan Chowdhury, passed away at her city residence in the morning today.
She was 72, said a press release.
Mariyam left behind her two sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Mariyam Begum.
In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
