3 absconding JMB men held in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 1, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three absconding active members of the banned Islamic militant outfit Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Nachole in Chapainawabganj district last midnight.
The arrestees were identified as Md. Sanaullah, 66, son of late Abdul Quddus of Tikoil village, Md. Fatik, 50, son of late Kasim Uddin of Nizampur village and Md. Ashraful Islam, 34, son of Abdus Samad of Dogachi village all under Nachole upazila of the district.
RAB sources said an operation team of RAB-5 from Rajshahi Mollapara camp, based on secret information, raided their houses in Nachole at around 11:50 pm and arrested them.
RAB also seized Islamic extremist books from their possession, the sources added.
The sources further said that the arrestees were warranted accused in a case recorded with Nachole thana and had remained absconding.
