Training for para solar technicians ends in Fulchhari

GAIBANDHA, Dec 1, 2020 (BSS)- The 3-day training for the para solar technicians was held at Friendship training center in Madnerpara area under Fulchhari upazila in the district on Monday.

Friendship, a reputed and leading non-government organization in the country, arranged the training for the para solar technicians under sustainable economic development (SED) project funded by ENGIE Foundation, France.

A function on certificate distribution to the participants was also held in the training center with director of the project Mohammad Kamal Uddin in the chair.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abdul Matin formally distributed the certificates to the trainees as the chief guest while district coordinator of Friendship Abdus Salam was the moderator.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest in his speeches said any types of training makes a perfect and sufficient to handle his or her professional work smoothly.

He also thanked to the Friendship for arranging such the training programme for para solar technicians of Gaibandha and Kurigram districts aimed at generating employment to the youths to help build an unemployment free society.

Director of the project Kamal Uddin in his speeches described the objectives of the training and the project elaborately and said due to geographical settings it is not possible to reach electricity in the remote char areas. As a result, the char dwellers cannot enjoy the electricity for changing their socio economic condition.

Taking this in view Friendship took an initiative to install solar panels at the houses of the char dwellers to help them live in decent life, he added.

A total of 22 para solar technicians in Gaibandha Sadar, Fulchhari and Sundarganj upazilas participated in the training.
