Six dacoits arrested in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Nov 30, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today
arrested six alleged dacoits in connection with a bus robbery in Phansiakhali
area on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway.
The arrested dacoits were identified as Md Yahya alias Joynal, 26, Solim
Ullah, 33, Saber Ahmed, 29, Abul Kalam, 30, Shah Aman alias Batu, 26, and
Mohammad Abdullah, 25, residents of different area of Cox’s Bazar’s Sadar,
Chakaria and Patenga area in the port city, RAB said.
RAB arrested them from different areas of Chattogram city and district
in the last 24 hours, Commander of RAB-7 Lt. Col. Md. Mashiur Rahman Jewel
said at a press briefing today.
The RAB commander said that the robbery took place in Phansiakhali area
of Cox’s Bazaar on the night of November 28. Two passengers of Saudia
Paribahan were shot and Taka four lakh were snatched by the robber gang.
A case was filed with Chakaria thana in this connection.
