339 poor families get tin-shed houses in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Nov 26, 2020 (BSS)- The Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief has built 339 tin-shed houses at a cost of TK 10 crore 16 lakh for the homeless poor people in 2019 -2020 financial year in the district.

The houses were built under Test Relief (TR) and KABITA Programme.

District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Sanowar Hossain told BSS that, the houses have been built in celebration of the Mujib Year under the directives of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina

The newly built houses were distributed among the

339 selected homeless poor people in all 13 upazilas of the district.

Of them, 20 houses are in Haluaghat,20 in Dobaura, 18 in Phulpur, 68 in Tarakanda,18 in Gouripur, 18 in Mymensingh Sadar, 18 in Muktagacha, 19 in Phulbaria , 18 in Trishal, 44 in Ishwargonj, 24 in Nandail,18 in Gafargaon and 36 in Bhaluka upazila.

After getting the houses,the beneficiaries are found happy

They thanked the Prime Minister for having tin-shed houses with two bed rooms attached with a corridor, kitchen room and a toilet.
