Russia adds 23,675 new COVID-19 cases

MOSCOW, Nov 25, 2020 (BSS/XINHUA) – Russia has recorded 23,675 more COVID-19 infections over the past 24 hours, bringing the national tally to 2,162,503, the country’s COVID-19 response center said Wednesday.

A record of 507 new fatalities were reported over the past day, taking the country’s death toll to 37,538.

Meanwhile, 25,748 patients recovered from the disease, with the total count standing at 1,660,419.

Moscow, the country’s worst-hit region, reported 4,685 new cases over the past day, bringing the city’s total to 571,102.

Russia has the world’s fifth highest COVID-19 caseload.

Over 73.7 million COVID-19 tests have been conducted across the country.
