Tazul urges people to work together
NOAKHALI, Nov 24, 2020 (BSS) – Local Government, Rural Development
and Cooperatives Minister Tazul Islam today called upon the people to
work together for materializing a goal of a developed nation.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is pledge bound to develop the
country and people have to work together to materialize the goal of a
developed nation,” he said while virtually inaugurating newly
constructed Sonapur municipality bus terminal, super market at a cost
of Taka 25 crore at Noakhali municipality here.
Tazul said: “Our goal is a developed Bangladesh and now our per
capita income stands over US $ 2,000. The per capita income should to
be raised at US$ 12,500 to fulfill the target of a developed nation,”
he added.
To materialize Bangabandhu’s dreaming sonar Bangla, the LGRD
minister said now the country has been upgraded to a developing nation
from its earlier status of a lower middle income one with the
integrated participation of cross section of people.
Chaired by Municipality Mayor Shahid Ullah Khan, the programme was
also attended by deputy commissioner M Khorshed Alam Khan and Police
Super M Alamgir Hossen.
