Ziban finally leaves for Qatar tomorrow

DHAKA, Nov 24, 2020 (BSS) – National football team’s striker Nabib
Newaz Ziban and team’s observer Imteaz Hamid will fly for Qatar
tomorrow (Wednesday) to join with the team.

Ziban could not fly with the contingent on November 19 last in
Qatar due to his injury problem received during the second FIFA
friendly match between Bangladesh and Nepal.

“Nabib Newaj Ziban and team’s observer Imtiaz Hamid is leaving for
Qatar tomorrow (Wednesday) morning to join with the team…. obviously
they will have to go through COVID-19 test there and will have to stay
mandatory quarantine before joining various activities with the team,”
said the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) general secretary Abu
Nayeem Shohag to the reporters today.

He said after recovering from injury Ziban contacted with team’s
physiotherapist, fitness trainer and coach and as per the decision of
head coach and management, Ziban is being sent to Qatar to join the
team and if everything goes ok, he may also plays in the main eleven
of the team.

Ziban through a video message today said he is feeling quite better
now and ready to fly for Qatar tomorrow morning. The striker also
sought blessings of all.

Bangladesh will play their away match of the FIFA World Cup 2022
Qatar Qualifiers round-2 against Asian Champions Qatar scheduled to be
held on December 4 in Doha.

The national booters will also play two practice matches against
the local selection. The first practice match will be held tomorrow
(Wednesday) while the second one is slated for November 28.
