DHAKA, Nov 24, 2020 (BSS)- Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) today expressed profound shock at the death of acting editor of daily Sangbad Khandaker Muniruzzaman.
In a joint condolence message, President of BFUJ Molla Jalal and General SecretaryShaban Mahmud, DUJ President Quddus Afrad and General Secretary Sajjad Alam Khan Tapu prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
They said the journalist community lost an honest and dedicated journalist in his death. As a progressive and fearless journalist Muniruzzaman was always vocal against repression and exploitation in the society, they added.
Muniruzzaman died while undergoing treatment for coronavirus at Mugda Medical College Hospital this morning at the age of 72.
