CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Nov 24, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged motorcycle lifters with a stolen motorcycle from Shibganj upazila of the district last night.
The arrested were identified as Md. Sohbul Islam, 55, of Pithalitala village under Shibganj municipality of the district and Md. Janiul Islam Jony, 26, of Jalmachmari village under the same municipality.
RAB said, acting on a tip-off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided the house of Sohbul Islam at 9.30 pm and arrested them.
RAB also seized a stolen motorcycle from their possession.
Later, the arrested persons were handed over to the police of Shibganj thana.
A case was also recorded with the police station in this connection, the sources added.
