RANGPUR, Nov 19, 2020 (BSS) – Tazhat Thana police of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) arrested a drug trader with 1,600 pieces of yaba tablets from Domdoma point on the Rangpur-Dhaka highway in the metropolis last night.
“On a tip off, a special operational team of Tazhat Thana police conducted a raid in the area and arrested the drug trader with the contraband Yaba tablets and a motorcycle,” a press release said here today.
Talking to BSS, Assistant Commission of Police (Detective Branch and Media) of RpMP Uttam Kumar Pathok said the arrested person is Mansur Ali, 55, son of late Nur Box of village Puraton Post office Para in Sadar upazila of Kurigram district.
A case was filed in this connection with Tazhat Thana police of RpMP today.
