2 drug peddlers held with 25-kg ganja in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Nov 19, 2020 (BSS) – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)
arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 25 kilograms of ganja from a place in
the district last night.

The arrestees were identified as Masud Rana, 23, son of Mofizul Islam of
Shibrampur village, and Mahbub Alam, 25, son of Muhammad Musha of Burichang
village, both under Burichang Upazila in Cumilla district, Rab sources said
today.

On a tip-off, a team of RAB conducted a raid in Baneswar Bazar area under
Puthiya police station around 8:30 pm and arrested them with the hemp after
searching a van, RAB sources said. The arrestees with the seized contraband
goods were handed over to police.

A case was filed with Puthiya police station in this connection.
