NETRAKONA Nov 18, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru today said the government is working hard for ensuring sustainable development in all the sectors of the country.
“The government under the dynamic and far-sighted leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is striving hard for ensuring sustainable development of the country”, he said while addressing as the chief guest at a view-exchange meeting with fishery officers and local people at south Bishiura village of Netrakona Sadar upazila.
The government is working relentlessly to build up the country as hunger and poverty free ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he said.
District fisheries office organized the meeting to mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Chaired by deputy commissioner Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman, the meeting was addressed, among others, by director general of Fisheries Department Kazi Shams Afruj, director of the department Mohammad Sirajur Rahman, project director Habibur Rahman, deputy director Dilip Kumar Saha, district fisheries officer Fazlul Kadir and office secretary of Awami League Netrakona district unit Mazharul Islam.
Earlier, the state minister visited the south Bishiura village and witnessed the modern fish cultivation network in different water-bodies including ponds, beels and canals there.
