2 infants drowned, 1 killed in road accident in Panchagarh
PANCHAGARH, Nov 18, 2020 (BSS)- Two infants drowned in a pond at Takahara village in Debiduba union under Debiganj upazila of the district this afternoon .
They were identified as Rahamat Ullah (3), son of Rafiqul Islam and Asad (3), son of Safi Uddin of the village.
Police said Rahamat and his cousin Asad abruptly dipped into a pond when they were playing on the banks of the pond near their houses at around 2 pm .
“Family members of the victims made an extensive search but could not trace them out but after sometime their bodies were found floating on the water” , Debiganj Officer-In-Charge (Investigation) Bajlur Rashid told BSS .
Meanwhile, a motorcycle rider was killed at Moratolli Paka road under Debiganj upazila of the district here today at 4 pm.
He has been identified as Al Amin, 35, son of Harun Rashid of Melapar Tapriganj village of the upazila.
Eye witnesses said, Al Amin met the accident when he reached Moratolli area a pick-up van coming from opposite direction hit his motorcycle .
He died on the spot. Debiganj thana Officer-In-Charge Rabiul hasan Sarker told BSS.
