One held with bidi in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Nov 17, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged smuggler with 54,000 pieces of Indian bidi from Nakkatitala ghat area under Gobratala union in Chapainawabganj sadar upazila this morning.
The arrested person was identified as Md. Jewel Ali, 32, of Panchchokha Purbapara village under Shibganj upazila of the district.
RAB said, being informed, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided the Nakkatitala ghat area around 815am and arrested Jewel with the bidis.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of sadar thana.
A case was recorded in this connection.
