DHAKA, Nov 16, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Md Murad Hassan today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former deputy speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) and veteran freedom fighter Col (retd) Shawkat Ali.
In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Shawkat Ali breathed his last while staying on life support at the Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka at 9:30 am today. He was 84.
He had been suffering from kidney, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and pneumonia.
