RAJSHAHI, Nov 15, 2020 (BSS)- Police arrested an alleged drug-peddler with 11,200 tapentadol tablets, a new dimensional drug item, from Bashari area in the city last night.
On a tip-off, a team of the police conducted a sudden raid in the area under Kasiadanga Police Station and arrested Rubel Hossain, 30, with the huge banned item red-handed at 9.30 pm. Hossain is the son of Abdul Aziz of Char Mazar Diar village under Damkura Police Station.
Quoting his confessional statement, Assistant Commissioner of Police Utpal Kumar Chowdhury said the arrested person was involved in various drugs trafficking and trading for a long time.
A case was recorded with the police station concerned in this connection.
