New Additional IGPs’ pay homage to Bangabandhu
GOPALGANJ, Nov 15, 2020 (BSS) – Six newly promoted Additional Inspector Generals’ (IGP) today paid tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara upazila of the district.
At around 1pm, they paid their homage by placing wreaths at the mazar (mausoleum) of Bangabandhu here.
After paying tributes, they joined a special munajat, seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu as well as other martyrs of August 15, 1975.
The promoted officers are Additional IGP Muhammad Ibrahim Fatemi, SM Ruhul Amin, Mallick Fakhrul Islam, Md Kamrul Ahsan, Md Mazaharul Islam and Khandker Golam Faruk.
Gopalganj Superintendent of Police Md Saidur Rahman, General Secretary of Tungipara Upazila Awami League Babul Sheikh, Assistant Land Commissioner Didarul Islam and Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tungipara police station AFM Nasim Uddin were present there.
