ARREST-SEIZURE
One held with 257 bottles of wine in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Nov 14, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 257 bottles of locally made cholai wine from Chapainawabganj municipal area this morning.
The arrested was identified as Md. Surat Ali, 24, of Prantikpara under Chapainawabganj municipality.
On a tip-off, an operation team of the RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in Malpukur Gaidohora village around 7.30 am and recovered the bottles of wine after searching a battery-run rickshaw.
The RAB team arrested Surat in this connection.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Chapainawabganj Sadar Thana and a case was also recorded with the police station in this regard.
