HEROIN-SEIZURE (with picture)
3 held with 850 grams of heroin in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, Nov 13, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in two separate anti-crime drives, arrested three alleged drug peddlers with 850 grams of heroin here last night.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in the Naodapara area under Shah Makhdum Police Station in the city and arrested Samiun Jaman, 24, with 800 grams of heroin red-handed around 9 pm.
Jaman is the son of Sharifur Jaman, a resident of Haragram Bazar area under Rajpara Police Station in Rajshahi city,
Another RAB team arrested two other persons with 50 grams of heroin from Baneswar Bazar area under Puthia Police Station in the district at 8.30 pm.
The arrestees are Sohel Rana, 37, son of late Azahar Ali of Harispur village and Shubho Milon, 22, son of Azizul Haque of Bhatupara village, both under Godagari Upazila in the district.
Two separate cases were recorded with the police stations concerned in these connections and the arrested persons with the seized contraband goods were handed over to police.
