JAMALPUR, Nov 12, 2020(BSS) – Jamalpur Municipality has executed huge development works in the last five years.
Jamalpur Mayor Mirza Sakhawatul Alam Moni told this at a press conference on Wednesday at its hall room highlighting various development works carried out in his five years tenure.
The Mayor said RCC roads, RCC drains, public toilets and community toilets were constructed at a cost of TK 32 crore for increasing civic amenities of the residents of the municipality.
He said , 200 tara tube wells, 15 kilometer water pipe line have been set up and installation of 46 kilometer more water pipe line are on to ensure pure drinking water .
Moni said as part of five years infrastructure development project Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina allotted TK 292 crore for the municipality.
The mayor said 16 projects out of 72 were completed and 10 acres of land were also purchased at Kampapur area in the town for setting up a modern dumping station for garbage management.,
He thanks Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for allotted the fund for development activities in nearly three lakh people of 53.28 square kilometer municipality .
