DHAKA, Nov 11, 2020 (BSS)- The Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Sports Festival begins tomorrow (Thursday) with chess event at Bangladesh Chess Federation office of National Sports Council building.
About 400 participants have already completed entry to take part in the indoor games which will be held in 17 men’s and women’s events.
The men’s events are chess, badminton (singles), shooting, table tennis, (singles), carom (singles), marathon, 100m run, archery, sphere throw (goloknikhep), call bridge and bridge while the six women’s events are shooting, chess, carom (singles), badminton (singles) table tennis (singles) and mini marathon.
In this regards, a press conference was held today at Sagor-Runi auditorium of DRU to provide all the details of the festival.
DRU president Rafiqul Islam Azad, general secretary Riaz Chowdhury, sports secretary Mohammad Mujibur Rahman, finance secretary Ziaul Haque Sobuj, organising secretary Habibur Rahman, among others, were present in the press conference.
