DHAKA, Nov 11, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory
Commission (BTRC) Director General (Spectrum) Brigadier General Md
Shahidul Alam urged technology giant Samsung to bring their modern
technology in Bangladesh.
To this end, BTRC would provide necessary policy support, he said
during a visit to Fair Electronics’ manufacturing plant in Narsindi.
In Bangladesh, Fair Electronics is authorized to manufacture and
market Samsung’s products such as mobile phone, TV, refrigerator, AC
and microwave oven, said a press release today.
During the visit, Fair Group Chairman Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub and BTRC
officials were present.
Ruhul Alam said Fair Group is committed to spread internet across
the country through affordable 4G enabled handsets to make the digital
Bangladesh campaign successful launched by the Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina.
Fair Electronics has been manufacturing 4G and 5G enabled handsets
in Bangladesh since 2018.
