Lawmakers for pursuing Bangabandhu’s ideology to march country ahead
SANGSAD BHABAN, Nov 9, 2020 (BSS) – Paying rich tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, lawmakers today stressed the need for pursuing the ideology of Bangabandhu for building a developed and prosperous country within the stipulated time.
The country once achieved independence under the leadership of Bangabandhu and now the country is progressing towards fulfilling Bangabandhu’s dream under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, they said while participating in the special discussion on Bangabandhu brought out by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina under section 147 of the Rules and Procedure in the House here.
Praising the contribution of Father of the Nation, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said, “Bangalees had been deprived of independence for long and the dream of independence was fulfilled under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”
Describing various political killings throughout the world, Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said many political killings happened in the world, but none of those carnages had been carried out targeting children and women.
“Bangladesh is now marching toward development under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the country is on the right track with her leadership”, said Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan citing the remarks made by Indian Prime Minister Norendra Modi during his visit to India.
Ruling party lawmakers Mustafizur Rahman of Dinajpur-5, Advocate Quamrul Islam of Dhaka-2, Simin Hossen Rimi of Gazipur-4 and Gono Forum lawmaker Sultan Mohammad Monsur Ahmed of Moulvibazar-2, among others, took part in the discussion.
