Two killed in Tangail road accident
DHAKA, Nov 9, 2020 (BSS) – At least two people were killed and five others were injured in a head on collision between a truck and a bus on Dhaka-BangabandhuSetu highway in Rasulpur area of TangailSadarupazila on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as MizanurRahman Sheikh, 28, driver of the truck and son of Nur Islam of Narullapurvillage of Morolgonjupazila in Bagerhat and SelimHossain, 40, supervisor of the bus, and son of Azhar Ali of Teliavillage of MirzapurupazilaTangail.
Elenga Highway police outpost Sub-inspector MotiurRahman said that the North Bengal-bound bus collided with the truck coming from opposite direction in the area, leaving two dead and five injured.
The injured were taken to Tangail General Hospital and the bodies were kept at Elenga Highway police outpost.
The bus and truck were seized from the spot, SI added.
