Mirza Fakhrul is making inciting remarks: Murad
DHAKA, Nov 9, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Md Murad Hassan today said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been making irrelevant and provocative remarks repeatedly to spoil the government’s success when the country is going ahead on development highway under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He was addressing a discussion arranged by Bangabandhu Academy in memory of Noor Hossain, who embraced martyrdom during the anti-autocratic movement in the 1990’s, at Jatiya Press Club, said a press release.
Murad said the people will reject the propaganda of Mirza Fakhrul and others as they did in the past.
Dubbing Noor Hossain as a forerunner to free democracy from confinement, the state minister said with making supreme sacrifice, Noor Hossain established that there is no room for dictatorship in the independent Bangladesh which was liberated under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
So, dictators like Ziaur Rahman and Ershad have been thrown into the garbage of history, he added.
Chaired by Bangabandhu Academy President Najmul Haque, the discussion was addressed by Kamal Chowdhury, Awami League leader Balaram Podder, Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote General Secretary Arun Sarker Rana and journalist Manik Lal Ghosh, among others.
