Jiban Bima Corp. signs agreement with Agrani Bank on central fund management
DHAKA, Nov 8, 2020 (BSS) – The Jiban Bima Corporation (JBC) today signed an agreement with the Agrani Bank Limited on ICT based central fund management at the corporation’s head office in a bid to reach digital services to the doorsteps of clients.
Md. Ashadul Islam, Senior Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division was present virtually at the signing ceremony as the chief guest.
Md. Maksudul Hasan Khan, Chairman (Former Secretary) of Jiban Bima Corporation and Mohammad Shams-Ul Islam, Managing Director and CEO of Agrani Bank Ltd were present at the programme as special guests. Md. Omar Faruque, Managing Director (Additional Secretary) of Jiban Bima Corporation presided over the programme, said a press release.
Sheikh Kamal Hossain, General Manager-Finance and Adm. of Jiban Bima Corporation and Zakia Sultana, General Manager of Agrani Bank Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
The Jiban Bima Corporation has been implementing various programmes in a bid to provide services to its clients in a speedy manner and also in a cost efficient way through ICT aimed at building Digital Bangladesh. In continuation of that, the JBC signed an agreement with the Agrani Bank Limited today in order to adjust the digital payment and disbursement of the JBC’s clients, the release added.
From now on, the insured persons or insurance recipients will be able to deposit their premiums anytime by staying at their homes or by any alternate services method.
Besides, they would also be able to deposit their premiums staying at any corner of the world through using their VISA or Master Cards.
The release said that this initiative will facilitate rendering insurance services to the clients at any time or from any place in an uninterrupted way during this COVID-19 pandemic.
