3 spice factories fined TK 4.50 lakh in Sylhet
SYLHET, Nov 8, 2020 (BSS)– A mobile court today fined tree spice factories TK 4.50 lakh on charges of selling adulterated and date expired products in the city.
A team of Directorate of National Consumers Rights Protection (DNCRP), Sylhet led by its Assistant Director Amirul Islam Masud conducted the drive in Kalighat area and realized TK four lakh and 50 thousand from three factories.
Masud said, DNCRP conducted the drive, under consumer rights protection act 2009 and fined the factories for manufacturing and selling colour mixed spices.
“Such drive against the violations of consumers’ rights would be continued,” he added.
Members of the RAB assisted the court.
