Tiles mechanic electrocuted in city
DHAKA, Nov 07, 2020 (BSS) – A tiles mechanic was electrocuted while working at a building in Mirpur-14 police lines area under Kafrul police station here, police and hospital sources said today.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Alamin, 28, son of Amirul Islam, a resident of Borguna district. He used to stay at a rented house at Mirpur -14, said a source of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
“The victim came into direct contact with a live electric wire while installing an electric bulb at the building,” In-charge of DMCH (DMCH) police outpost Inspector Md Bachchu Miah told BSS.
He was rushed to the hospital in an unconsciousness state, where doctors declared him dead at 10 am. The body was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
An un-natural (UD) death case was filed in this connection.
