PANCHAGARH. Nov 7, 2020(BSS)- Aman harvesting is going on in full swing in the district expecting its bumper production this year.
The farmers are happy to see bumper production of Aman paddy and the whole paddy fields are adorned in golden colours.
Sufficient rainfall, no attack of pest , availability of fertilizers coupled with conducive climate were benediction for Aman farmers.
Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) of Panchagarh office sources said, about 99,695 hectares of land have been brought under Aman cultivation with the production target of 3,26,644 metric tons of food grain.
Deputy Director of DAE, Panchagarh Mizanur Rahman told BSS that the department has provided quality Aman seeds , fertilizers and others agri-inputs among the farmers at free of cost .
The department also imparted with modern technology training to the farmers for boosting production.
