MOULVIBAZAR, Nov 6, 2020 (BSS) – Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin today said that under the worthy leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the country has witnessed unprecedented development in all fields, making it self-reliant.
“In the past, the assistance of developed countries was needed to implement the plans and development activities of the country and meet the needs of the people. But under the able leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the country has witnessed unprecedented development in all fields and has become self-reliant,” he said.
He said this while addressing a function on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of Barni Union Health and Family Welfare Center at Baralekha Upazila here.
Moulvibazar Health Engineering Department will construct the 2-storey Union Health and Family Welfare Center with a 4-storey foundation including boundary wall, gate, deep tube well, drain and internal road at a cost of Taka 1 crore 43 lakh.
The minister also said now Bangladesh has been able to extend its helping hand to other countries in their difficult times and is providing various types of assistance.
As a result, Bangladesh has become a donor country instead of a recipient one, he added.
